11/28/05 - Back from tour last month, it was a pretty good time. Got to meet our label guy (Hi Jeff!), see an amazing sunset in Arizona, play to some rad old friends in LA, run into unexpected folks in SF, play an instore in San Luis and well, hang out in a basement in Eugene, that and drive a really really long way and spend a small fortune on gas. Our good friend Eric Jensen of the lovely and talented Tractor Operator played drums with us on this tour. Tony opened up a bunch of the shows as well, plus added background videoage, that was radical!

We're in the midst of making some recordings, a few new tracks, some covers, rehashing a couple of older tracks just for the heck of it. Might turn into a a new record, once the sessions start they usually do, but might be an EP as well, won't know 'til we get there I suppose. Probably heading up north early 2006 as well, we will post more on that as things develope. Thanks to the folks that helped us out on the road. Cheers! rj

We've got a new track on a comp called Pressing Sounds that was made for the Tape Op 2005 conference. Song's called Violetta Rubiani and was recorded in Redding by our pal Kelly Bauman. Comp has a ton of other great folks on it and we'll have some up for order shortly. Working on more dates for July around the Northwest as well as a West Coast-ish tour in Sept/Oct. Stay tuned!
A little bit about us: We're a 3 piece, standard rock set up, perhaps some mallet instruments, we're decently loud but not to the extreme. We've played shows with The Dying Californians, Bright Eyes (a while ago), Sarah Dougher, Elf Power, Electro-Group, Jeff London, Kind of Like Spitting, Reclinerland, Posterchildren, Karate, yada yada... we'd be happy to send hard copies of the music, pictures, what ever you'd like. Just ask!
We're gonna have ourselves a RECORD RELEASE SHOW!

Tuesday, May 31st @ the Doug Fir with our good friends Wow & Flutter and some folks we don't know but have heard good things about called The Nein. It's FREE! You should come! We'll have fancy posters for sale and our new record! Hot damn! xoox, blt

PS. you can also preorder the record from KEEP Recordings now, huzzah!

Lot's of news for the ol' BLT!

Numero the One:
We are so very happy to announce that the fine and friendly folks at KEEP Recordings have offered to put out our next record, Welcome, Nostalgia. We are quite pleased with the prospect, as they are every bit as into the record as we are, and their asthetic is impeccable. Not to mention their taste in music! Look for an early spring release and art to be available quite soon. Check out their site for a track listing! Yowza!

#2: JB-049 Beltline: Eraser b/w Felony Flats 7" is here!
I have been planning this release for like 10 years, seriously, and it is finally done, and can I just tell you it's the 1st time I've gotten a record back, finished, all put together, and not thought: "I wish I'd done X,Y or Z just a little differently..." This record makes me very happy, and there are only 32 copies of it out there, and a fair # of those have gone to the folks who helped make it, so get it while you can... here.

Thirdly:
Our fall dates went super, we recorded a new song in Redding with Kelly Bauman and played will him and the sublime Chris Miller, we played a rad show in Chico with our pals in West By Swan, in Eugene we played one of the first shows were I've actually wanted to see every band on the bill, plus we got to play a PowerJack song to my pal Pol and then play one of our Oswald 5-0 covers in front of their lovely and talented bass player, man was I nervous! Finally we ended up in Anacortes at the excellent DOS and played a super fun show with Laura Viers, Liar Bird and the Strangers who were all nice and quite amazing! Ye-haw! So, that said, I feel very confident in our little 3 piece line up, myself, the Trost and Mr. Moreno, and might go so far as to say that we are a band of sorts, and will play more shows coming up soon, so keep your ears to the tracks!
