I've known Kelly for around 10 years. During that time he has writting and then discarded more amazing songs than anyone else I know. At one point I told him that if he ever put together enough material for an album I would put it out, no questions asked. Well, he has finally done it, and thank God becuase it is spectacular. It's got the feel of Gram Parsons without being at all derivitive, it's at once So-Cal beach music and No-Cal backwoods balladry. The playing is stunning, everything is perfectly place, without being in the least bit sterile, it's all intentional, and truely inspired. This record will transport you.
